In Australia it is illegal to sell or supply nicotine. That doesn’t have to be as troublesome as it sounds.

Nicotine can be bought from a multitude of suppliers with the main contenders being based in either China or the United States.

Personally, I have a bucket load here that will keep me well stocked until at least the end of 2013 so my need to purchase nicotine is non-existent for the next little while, but let’s have a look at some options for you, should you be reading this looking for help to make that purchase.

Really first of all you need to determine what strength you want to vape your eJuice at. A good starting point for everyone I feel is 18mg. Remember that the strength that you vape does not necessarily transcribe across to the “strength” of your brand of Cigarette. 18mg is strong enough for the majority of new vapers and can be diluted down if it is “too strong”.

When mixing your eJuice with Nicotine you need to understand that you can easily dilute nicotine down, but you cannot recover a nicotine solution that is mixed too weak.

So my recommendation is to start at buying some 48mg/ml nicotine in Vegetable Glycerin (VG). This will give you the ability to bring your mix down to 18mg/ml and also have the built in redundancy to vape up to 24mg/ml should you need it stronger.

e-cig.com

e-cig.com is a Chinese supplier that provides nicotine at a reasonable price. In fact the price of Nicotine in the vaping world lately has risen sharply due to suspected un-ethical behaviour by a US supplier toward another US supplier.

You need to excercise caution whilst browsing this site. I have linked the diluted nicotine page for you to choose the volume (size of the bottle) which I would recommend at no more than 1L and the body (carrier) which I would recommend that you choose Vegetable Glycerin.

This site does sell 1000mg/ml nicotine. DO NOT BUY PURE NICOTINE. If you buy pure nicotine then you are asking for trouble. Yes we can all do the math, however the fumes from the contents of one of these bottles may be enough to kill you.

Stick to the program, we are here to get 48mg/ml Nicotine in Vegetable Glycerin base.

Is it illegal to import Nicotine into Australia?

Short answer is NO. You are well within your rights to import for personal use, no more than 3 months supply according to existing Australian law (at time of writing).

The key here is doing the right thing. Import some nicotine for yourself, your Mother/Father/Wife/Husband but that is it. You can not sell this to anyone here in Australia or help out friends or……that is where the law is at.

follow this link across to e-cig.com

Click on e-liquid bases under the Categories tab on the left.

Then select a volume (500ml is a good size)

Then select the strength (48mg/ml is a good option)

Then select VG as the base liquid.

Select your chosen shipping method and voila. Nicotine is on its way to you.
